Hey friends!
I hope you are all managing to survive during this quarantine, trying to adjust to this new normal, and get a grip on how to juggle every day life while now homeschooling.
I wanted to write this post to share a product with you that’s been extremely helpful now that I’m (trying to) homeschool my toddlers. I know that there are so many products, tools, and online resources to help us during this time, but we absolutely love this all-in-one product for homeschooling. It’s not only fun for the kids to use, but it also doesn’t involve a screen. This is probably the #1 product we’ve been using the most during this quarantine.

The Best Product for Homeschooling Your Toddler
We got these Melissa and Doug desktop easels for Christmas, but who knew how much we’d use and need them now. They have been GREAT for homeschooling our toddlers! This double-sided desktop easel is a whiteboard, magnet board, easel, and chalkboard all in one and can be easily stored!
Each easel comes with:
- Colorful letter & number magnets
- Dry erase markers and eraser
- Chalk and chalk eraser
- Paper
How We Use the Easel for Homeschooling
Because this easel is so versatile, there are a ton of different learning activities you can use it for. I’ve also been writing the day and date on the board each morning for the kids (and so I can keep track of what day it is, let’s be real). Here are some other ideas on how we use this Melissa and Doug desktop easel:
Pre-k:
- Putting magnetic letters on the board to identify letters
- Identifying the colors of each letter
- Spelling simple words
- Writing numbers, letters, or words (mommy usually does it and has him repeat)
- Drawing
Kindergarten:
- Spelling sight words
- Simple math problems
- Writing numbers
- Writing sentences
- Using magnetic letters to spell simple words
- Drawing
I hope you can get your hands on one of these! You will not regret this purchase!
And remember, mamas, every day is not going to perfect. I’ve had days where I felt like I nailed it as a homeschool, work-from-home mom, and other days where the kids watched TV all day. The MOST important thing we can do for our children right now is keep them home and keep them safe, and if that’s all you can manage to do in one day than that is ENOUGH!
If no one told you today, you are amazing!
