I’ve compiled a list of some of the best motivational and inspiring books for women that have been some of my favorites to read or listen to this year. With the new year quickly approaching most people are taking this time to set new goals they want to crush in the new year whether it be in their career, relationships, fitness, or personal growth. For me, I plan on continuing this path of self-improvement and have made a list of the books that have helped me on that journey so far!
In case you’re wondering how in the world you’ll be able to read all of these books, especially if you’re a busy mom, check out Audible on Amazon! Audible let’s you listen to your favorite books any time, any where. I always listen to these books on my drive to and from work. It’s the perfect way to start and end my day. 1. Girl, Wash Your Face
Girl, Wash Your Face written by Rachel Hollis is sure to get your motivational gears going. In this book, she talks about all of the obstacles she has overcome in her life and how she’s turned herself into a total girl boss. Take notes!
2. You Are a Badass
You Are a Badass is by far my favorite kick-in-the-ass motivational book I’ve read so far. The author is so funny and made this book so entertaining to read. It was refreshing to find a motivational book that didn’t tie religion too much into the writing. This one is an absolute must read!
3. Unf*ck Yourself
My kind of title. Unf*ck Yourself doesn’t sugar coat it. This author talks you through how to get out of your own head and into your own life and how to stop the negative self talk in a no-nonsense kind of way. This book is a BS-free self empowerment book you will definitely enjoy reading if you can appreciate this type of approach and humor.
4. The Slight Edge
This book is an old favorite of mine. The Slight Edge is a way of thinking and processing information that allows you to make small choices each and every day that compound and lead you to success and happiness. Basically, it’s the small choices that you make every day, consistently, that will help you achieve your goal. If you’re trying to start a new habit or build a business, this book is the perfect tool to get you started.
5. Atomic Habits
This book, Atomic Habits, is one that I’m currently listening to. The author, James Clear, gives you step by step tools to help you build lasting habits, and how to kick negative habits to the curb. He explains in an easily digestible way how and why habits are formed so we can learn how to create new ones that will last. This book is a perfect read as we enter the new year so you can start learning the tools you need to accomplish all of the goals you’re setting for 2019!
These books are the perfect addition to your collection and will certainly give you the tools, insights, motivation and inspiration you need to start living the life you deserve. I look forward to continue applying all that I’ve learned from these books and start crushing some serious goals in 2019 and become the ultimate girl boss supermom I know I can be!
And, don’t forget to sign up for your FREE 30 day trial of Audible and claim your two FREE books! You can snag one or two from this list today!
